Odin Expands Florida Presence with New West Palm Beach Office

New office strengthens local presence and supports continued growth across Florida’s environmental, water resources, geotechnical, and heavy civil markets

West Palm Beach, FL. Odin has officially opened the doors to its new West Palm Beach, Florida, office, marking another milestone in the company’s continued growth and investment in the Southeast.

large-scale water infrastructure to environmental remediation, Odin’s Florida experience reflects the breadth of the company’s capabilities and its commitment to supporting infrastructure and environmental needs throughout the region.

“Florida is an international gateway and possesses a booming $1.8 trillion GDP, making it the 14th largest economy in the world, alongside a rapidly growing population of nearly 1,000 new residents per day. Odin is highly enthusiastic about the long-term prospects within the state. This new office demonstrates our strong commitment to supporting the state’s expanding environmental and infrastructure needs while aligning perfectly with our Southeast Organic Growth Strategy,” said Jerry Mason, Executive Vice President.

Building on a Strong Foundation in Florida

While the West Palm Beach office is new, Odin’s work in Florida is not.

One of Odin’s earliest environmental projects in the state was the Florida State Fire College PFAS/PFOS Remediation Project in Ocala. Completed for the Florida Department of Environmental Protection in 2021, the project was the first significant PFAS/PFOS remediation project in Florida and included excavation, transportation, and disposal of approximately 891 tons of impacted soil, along with installation of a PVC liner, drainage improvements, imported fill, and site restoration.

Since then, Odin’s presence in the state has grown considerably, particularly through work supporting some of Florida’s most significant water resources and Everglades restoration initiatives.

The CERP Indian River Lagoon South C-23/24 Stormwater Treatment Area Project in St. Lucie County represents that growth in both scale and technical complexity. As a subcontractor to Kiewit, the Maloney Odin Joint Venture supported construction of the $30.1 million C-23/24 Stormwater Treatment Area Project, which included five new stormwater treatment area cells across a 2,550-acre site designed to help reduce sediment, phosphorus, and nitrogen loading into the St. Lucie River Estuary and Indian River Lagoon. The work required more than 4 million cubic yards of excavation and material placement, including approximately 18 miles of canal excavation, 1.1 million cubic yards of embankment placement, and 1.785 million cubic yards of borrow excavation. The team also designed, installed, operated, and decommissioned 18 miles of wellpoint dewatering systems to support excavation below the groundwater table.

Odin is also currently helping deliver the CEPP Contract 11A – EAA A2 Reservoir Foundation and Cutoff Wall Project in South Bay as part of the Forgen-Odin Joint Venture. The $768 million project for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District, and South Florida Water Management District is the largest construction contract awarded by the Jacksonville District to date.

The project supports construction of a planned 240,000-acre-foot reservoir covering approximately 16 square miles in Palm Beach County. The JV’s work includes site preparation; clearing, grubbing, and demucking; limestone foundation preparation; blasting; crushing and screening material for beneficial reuse; dewatering; construction of a soil-cement-bentonite seepage cutoff wall; and construction of 15.3 miles of foundation for the reservoir’s future embankment dam.

Together, these projects demonstrate the technical capabilities Odin is bringing to Florida — from environmental remediation and complex dewatering to mass excavation, levee and embankment construction, cutoff walls, and large-scale ecosystem restoration.

Investing in a Local Presence

Establishing the West Palm Beach office brings Odin closer to the clients, partners, projects, and communities the company serves throughout Florida. It also provides a foundation for continued growth in the region and greater opportunities to build local relationships and support projects from a permanent Florida location.

“Having a local office is about more than geography. It gives us the opportunity to work more closely with our clients and partners, invest in local talent, and remain responsive to the needs of the communities and projects we serve across the state,” said Vijay Mishra, Odin’s Florida Regional Manager.

The location is particularly well positioned to support Odin’s growing work in South Florida, including ongoing efforts associated with the Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Plan and other federal, state, and local infrastructure and environmental programs.

Celebrating the Next Chapter

To celebrate the new office, Odin recently welcomed employees, clients, industry partners, and members of the local community to a grand opening and open house at the West Palm Beach location.

The event provided an opportunity to introduce guests to the new space, reconnect with partners who have contributed to Odin’s success in Florida, and celebrate the team helping establish the company’s next chapter in the region. The event drew a packed house, with the Odin team and guests celebrating over food, drinks, and good company.

“The turnout and support we received at the Open House was a great reflection of the strong relationships we’ve built throughout Florida’s engineering, construction, and environmental community. We’re grateful to everyone who helped make the event a success and excited about the opportunities ahead as we continue to grow our presence in the state,” said Vijay Mishra.

The celebration represented more than the opening of a physical office. It marked Odin’s continued investment in Florida and the relationships that will support the company’s growth for years to come.

“Odin’s growth strategy has never been about chasing individual projects. We invest in people, relationships, and local capabilities that allow us to build a lasting presence and become a trusted partner in the regions we serve. Our West Palm Beach office is a significant step in that long-term commitment to Florida,” said Sean Rhodes, Executive Vice President of Operations.

With an established portfolio of technically challenging work, an expanding local team, and now a permanent home in West Palm Beach, Odin looks forward to continuing to support the infrastructure and environmental projects shaping Florida’s future.
